Thank you for your kind words and your explication of Jason Goes to Hell (hereafter JGTH) and the related comics, the latter of which I'm unfamiliar with. Perhaps I missed something, but I just rewatched JGTH, and I’m not sure where it confirms that Jason helped Pamela with the initial murders. In addition, I must confess that, for me, the canonical status of any given Friday the 13th film sort of ebbs away after Part 6 (or even Part 4, depending on my mood). What I mean to say is that, personally speaking, movies like 7 and 8 strike me as less canonical (but not wholly uncanonical, almost like a radio broadcast that has a low signal-to-noise ratio). JGTH seems like another universe entirely (and while I do enjoy that film, all the new Kandarian-esque lore feels convoluted and shoehorned in largely to advance the plot). As you can see, my individual notion of Friday the 13th canon sort of bifurcates once the supernatural elements come into play. Thus, I kept the parameters of my analysis in the present piece based around evidence gleaned from movies featuring the more terrestrial, non-zombie Jason. With all that said, you've whet my appetite for the comics.
